Georgia Ready To Give Everything At Euro 2024

Georgia ready to 'give everything' at Euro 2024

Tournament debutants face Turkey in opening match

Georgia will "give everything they have" at Euro 2024, manager Willy Sagnol has said.

The tournament debutants face Turkey in their opening match on June 14. Sagnol said his team is "excited" to be playing in the tournament and that they will be "going all out" to win their first match.

Georgia have two main routes to goal: progressing the ball through the wide areas before finding their forwards between the lines or switching the play to the opposite flank.

Turkey began their Euro 2024 campaign with a bang as defender Mert Muldur scored one of the goals of the tournament so far. Muldur's stunning strike was the only goal of the game as Turkey beat Croatia 1-0 in their opening match.

Turkey have a wealth of experience in major tournaments, having reached the semi-finals of Euro 2008 and the quarter-finals of the 2002 World Cup.

Georgia, on the other hand, are making their debut at a major tournament. However, they will be confident of causing an upset, having won their qualifying group ahead of Spain.

The match between Turkey and Georgia is sure to be a close and entertaining affair. Both teams will be looking to make a statement in their opening match, and the winner will take a big step towards reaching the knockout stages.
